Feb 06, 2022 · Once the coal fired boiler was in place and on line, I remember the hot water coming out of the taps was quite a bit hotter than what the oil fired boiler got it up to. This is an 'indirect' hot water heating system with an 80 gallon concrete lined 'solar tank', having both a finned copper tank heating coil, and electric elements.
